HOW DO I JOIN?

It's easy! Go premium by purchasing a $20 membership and then click here to visit our Meetup group page, "It's Really Hard to Make Friends as an Adult!" Once you enter through Meetup, you will have access to view our events, RSVP to events, and more! Premium members also receive emails & updates through our group chats.

I HAVE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER / FAMILY MEMBER / BFF I WOULD LIKE TO BRING TO EVENTS, IS THIS POSSIBLE?

For our events that are open to all - the more the merrier! Feel free to bring someone. If an event requires tickets, you must purchase a ticket for yourself and your guest. Anyone attending a premium members only event must have a premium membership (Yes, even your significant other, BFF, or mom!)

ARE THERE ANY MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS?

Age is just a number ✨ that said, members are required to be 21+ as our events take place at bars and include alcohol. Most members are between 25-45. However, I firmly believe that every age is worth celebrating, so if you're 22 or 92, feel free to join!

CAN I LOSE MY MEMBERSHIP?

​

We are inclusive & welcoming here (despite my sometimes sarcastic descriptions and emotional comments, LOL). No harassing comments or inappropriate advancements will be tolerated online or in-person. Anyone who makes threats, acts inappropriately, can't handle their alcohol, can't take no for an answer, harasses, or does anything else one would consider creepy/weird (I watch A LOT of Forensic Files, I'm not messing around!) will be banned from the group, and, if necessary, reported to local authorities. Our group is a fun space. Let's keep it that way ✨

IS THIS GROUP FOR FINDING ROMANCE?

​

NO! NO! NO! If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times! This group is for networking, building a social life, and attempting to make friends (which is more complex than dating, let's be real). I can't control passions of the heart, so if you do find the love of your life in this group you're welcome 💓 Don't come with the sole intention of hitting on someone, being super flirty, or trying to take someone home 🙅🏼‍♀️

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

​

Alcohol is readily available, we have events all over town, and you can get to know one host (me!). Some groups have SO MANY hosts it's hard to feel comfortable returning and remembering who's in charge! We have fun activities throughout the month, including holiday parties and more. I'll be honest; you can also expect to meet some pretty weird people and have some awkward convos because that's socializing for you 🙄 However, you're also going to meet some cool people and, at the very least, do some fun stuff in the process!

HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF MY MEMBERSHIP?

​

I've hosted and attended hundreds of events since 2017. The cold hard truth is that you get what you put into them! I know we all complain about how hard it is to find friends or social life in adulthood, but a lot of it is a reflection of ourselves - sorry to go so deep y'al! Come with an open mind and get to know as many members as possible. Attending multiple events each month, engaging through the group platform + our social media, and having a fun attitude (liquid courage goes a long way!) are all ways to get the most out of your membership.

OTHER FINE PRINT I SHOULD KNOW?

By purchasing a premium membership, you are purchasing the ability to attend our social club events and invitation to our group chats/calendar. You are NOT purchasing my (or anyone else's!) friendship. I do not provide refunds on memberships. It is your discretion to attend as many or little events as you want and to post/participate in the group chats. I do not guarantee events/dates/or activities. ALL events are subject to reschedule or cancellation. Anyone who breaks our group rules will be banned without a refund. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure contact information, including email and telephone numbers, are up-to-date. Memberships are good for one year from purchase. Members are contacted via email, group chats, & the Meetup group page.
